Japanese students eagerly anticipated the dynamic sound of Taiko drums from Japan—and the performance did not disappoint!
Leading up to the event, students explored the historical significance of Taiko during the samurai era, learning how the powerful rhythms were deeply connected to Japan’s cultural and military traditions.
The Columbia University Taiko Aikokai group performed live in the PCTI auditorium, delivering an electrifying and immersive experience.
To top it off, students had the exciting opportunity to try their hand at playing the drums themselves, making the event both educational and unforgettable!

The PCTVS Future Educators Association hosted a joyful Week of the Young Child Celebration on Thursday, May 1st in the PCTI Auditorium!
Over 300 preschoolers from our community partners—Gilmore Memorial Preschool and Wayne Head Start—joined in for a morning of music, dancing, and fun.
The event featured performances by PCTVS Cheer, Vocal Technique, Instrumental Music, special musical guest Yosi, and surprise visits from Spike and Princess! 🐾✨
A big thank you to our FEA students and partners for helping create such a magical day for our youngest learners.






US II History students visited the Passaic County Vietnam Memorial by the Passaic County Fire Academy. Students were guided through small group tours led by Vietnam Veterans, who shared powerful personal stories and insights.
This was the first event of its kind at the Memorial — a moving experience that brought history to life in a deeply meaningful way.

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of our students at the HOSA State Competition, which took place this past weekend!

Jack Ammirato — 1st Place in Medical Records (qualifies for the International Leadership Conference)
Leena Doura — 2nd Place in Extemporaneous Writing (qualifies for the International Leadership Conference)

Our chapter earned the prestigious HOSA Happenings Recognition!
The 1st and 2nd place winners will advance to represent PCTVS at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, from June 18–21.

On March 14th, PCTI HOSA held a Jeans Day fundraiser, with half of the proceeds being donated to the Kidney Cancer Association and the American Cancer Society.
This cause holds special meaning for our chapter, as one of our AOHS and PCTI HOSA Chapter officers is currently courageously fighting kidney cancer. In her honor, our school community rallied together and raised over $2,000 for this important cause.
We are incredibly thankful and blessed by the outpouring of support from teachers, AOHS students, and staff, many of whom donated above the requested amount to ensure the fundraiser’s success.
Thank you to everyone who contributed — your kindness and generosity made a true difference!


The PCTI World Language Honor Society recently participated in a community service event at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) in Hillside, NJ.
Our dedicated students volunteered their time and effort to package an incredible 3,092 bags of pasta — surpassing last year's goal of 2,391! These boxes of food will be distributed to help serve local families throughout New Jersey.
Congratulations to all the students who contributed to this important cause and made a meaningful impact in our community!





Jack Till, Arrianna Hylton, and Lilianas Monegro proudly represented PCTVS at the Passaic County American Legion Oratorical Competition held at American Legion Post 174 in Wayne, NJ. This marked PCTVS' first time participating since 2004—and what a return it was!

PCTI's FBLA Chapter Shines at State Leadership Conference! We are thrilled to announce that our FBLA chapter has achieved remarkable success at the State Leadership Conference. Our chapter won the Largest Chapter Membership in the Northern Region Award, the Gold Seal Award of Merit, and secured 35 medals! These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our students and advisors. Congratulations to all!

Spoken Word Poetry Event with Sarah Kay!
Yesterday, we had the incredible opportunity to welcome Sarah Kay of Project Voice to PCTI! She performed for a packed house of over 130 students in the STEM Lecture Hall, captivating the audience with her powerful spoken word poetry.
In the afternoon, Sarah led an exclusive poetry writing workshop for 25 select students where they explored the art of storytelling through poetry.
This was an unforgettable experience for our aspiring poets and writers! Thank you, Sarah, for inspiring our students with your words and wisdom.
