Congratulations April Athlete of the Month, Jazriel Miranda! Jazriel, a senior in the PCTI School of Cosmetology & Barbering, is a standout captain on the flag football team, where she leads the team as quarterback. In addition to flag football, Jazriel is a dedicated Bulldog athlete, also participating in both competition cheer and fall cheer. This season, Jazriel is excited and inspired by the talent and energy her teammates bring to the field: “I see our season going very well this year, we have a lot of talent this year and all the girls that came back from last year they are bring all their energy in the field and they all put a lot of effort in to make it to the end.” Her favorite memory from the team comes from last year’s game against Eastside, where she made a big run and scored a touchdown during senior night, a highlight that left a lasting impact. Outside of sports, Jazriel enjoys spending time with friends, playing football casually, and continuing her cheerleading passions. She shares a message to her teammates: “Shoutout to all my receivers, I love you guys, you guys are amazing, and thank you for making my bad balls into good balls.” Congratulation Jazriel!

On March 14th, PCTI HOSA held a Jeans Day fundraiser, with half of the proceeds being donated to the Kidney Cancer Association and the American Cancer Society. This cause holds special meaning for our chapter, as one of our AOHS and PCTI HOSA Chapter officers is currently courageously fighting kidney cancer. In her honor, our school community rallied together and raised over $2,000 for this important cause. We are incredibly thankful and blessed by the outpouring of support from teachers, AOHS students, and staff, many of whom donated above the requested amount to ensure the fundraiser’s success. Thank you to everyone who contributed — your kindness and generosity made a true difference!
